Yeah, I've read some Beag. I think of him as a fith columnist, in the club but not quite of it.

That is a cool analysis from a variety of standpoints. The Toba event was felt worldwide, but it did not produce a bottleneck of 2,000 individuals in the gene pool (in other reports I have seen the figures quoted as 2,000 breeding couples).

Toba or no Toba, 6-year nuclear winter or not, the equatorial region of Africa would remain warm and humid - complete with big ass bugs. :shock:
