At Least They Are Trying

The Western Hemisphere. General term for the Americas following their discovery by Europeans, thus setting them in contradistinction to the Old World of Africa, Europe, and Asia.

Without wishing in the slightest to offend my American friends it is an unfortunate fact that here in the UK few concern themselves as to whether Clovis was first second or last! To most archaeologist it's as though the new world doesn't exist.
There must be dozens of books on the Roman empire for every one about America.
How WA first got interested in pre-Colombian cultures is a mystery to me as even after fifty years I know virtually nothing about the area and I have seen only one book on the subject, Von Daniken's!

Nyah...nyah.... you guys lost. Get over it!
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

'cept those runnings the universities are often cheerleaders for the old warhorses. It just makes me scratch my head that educational institutions are slow to change. It makes no sense to me. That is why i will likely be into my 40's before i finish a bachelor's degree. Universities are just big corporations and most of those working for them (even the ones younger than me) seem to rather not rock the boat that their careers are riding in.

i keep thinking that i have the discipline to just jump through the hoops and get it finished, but they hurt my brain.

As some very smart person once noted: Science advances one funeral at a time.

It is politics.....except that politics never advances.
