The thought seemed to be that these were left behind by ancient Egyptians who had taken a wrong turn and ended up in the Grand Canyon.

Anyone who has ever been to the Canyon knows that it takes considerably more than ONE wrong turn to end up there.

You have to be flat-out lost.
