Stonehenge older again

The Old World is a reference to those parts of Earth known to Europeans before the voyages of Christopher Columbus; it includes Europe, Asia and Africa.

Stonehenge older again

Post by Ishtar »

New findings at Stonehenge suggest its stones were erected much earlier than thought, challenging the site's conventional history.

A new excavation puts the stones' arrival at 3000 BC - almost 500 years earlier than originally thought - and suggests it was mainly a burial site.

The latest results are from a dig by the Stonehenge Riverside Project.
It is in conflict with recent research dating construction to 2300 BC and suggesting it was a healing centre.

This date goes backwards and forwards like a hyperactive rumba dancer on acid.

Let’s face it, nobody has a clue.

Ta da!!!!
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Reading the article the evidence is thin at best.

Also I think people make too much of these dates-it gets to be something of a p*ssing match-although a polite well researched one.

This manner of gathering evidence then garnering support compromises overall research goals.

Thin Sam?
It's a bit like saying Winchester cathedral is a burial site!
Sure there are burials at, or near, both sites, but that does not make it their primary purpose.
Mind you, it's an improvement on the Stone Age A & E idea!

The local post office, transport centre, 'rave' centre, shopping mall, space port, Star gate!
Take your pick Min, somebody will have a theory to support it.

You’re all wrong. It’s a Stone Age flying saucer.

They built it in the hope of reaching other planets, but then there was a worldwide stock market crash and their funding disappeared down the Swanee.

Wait...WAIT!!!

Forget the cremations. Now we're back to burials!

Archaeologists who discovered the grave, where the child was laying on his or her side, believe the toy - perhaps placed there by a doting father - is the earliest known depiction of a hedgehog in British history.

What is going on over there? Can't you Brits make up your minds?

You KNOW how easily confused we Yanks are.
