I'm going to ask you one more time; have YOU actually been to this "dig"?
sometime i think that some hidden organisations, masons, iluminati or other , whatever , try to stopp this
Sometimes a red face results from suppressed anger - the kind I often show when thinking about such garbage as "The Da Vinci Code." Too many people think the universe is out to get them (every time such a person bumps a knee, the inevitable outcry is "Why ME?"). Too many people think there is a massive conspiracy organized over centuries and across nations to rule the world, or especially to "get" some particular group of people.
Often the feeling that there is an organized attempt to "hold down" a nation or population reflects a community feeling of frustration, of being denied justice and a "rightful place."
This is precisely what enabled the Nazis to mobilize a segement of Germany to oppress and estroy jews, Gypsies, dissidents, and the subject populations of conquered territories.
This is also partly embodied in the current rantings of the President of Iran about that country's "rights" to hold influence and back it up with nuclear weapons.
So the comment there must be a secret conspiracy to "deny" Bosnia its own unique "pyramid" suddenly reveals more about the possible world view of that community, and it's disturbing. Of course, one anecdote does not a movement make.
Ethnic and nationalistic arrogance remains a terrible problem in the world, whether expressed by the United States or any other group or nation. It's exclusionary and narrow, it's a form of intentional blindness, and it leads to tragedy.
Now, is this site a kind of pyramid, or not? Is it man-made or not? Eventually we'll find out. The site is interesting for many reasons - but it is not some sort of symbol of anything right now, and does not deserve to be invested with the symbolism of national pride or ethnic superiority. If it is a man-made site, we should be extremely interested in its actual age, its apparent purpose (discerned from evidence that may not reveal anything), the way it was made, and related details.
As to its relationship with other structures around the world, unless this is shown to be a more modern construction that could have drawn on knowledge of Egyptian or meso-American monuments, there probably is not any connection. The basic form of a "step pyramid" is a natural development for people wishing to raise a monumental tower using relatively limited technologies, materials and knowledge of engineering. Follow the Law of Occam's Razor, folk - the simplest answer is usually the right one. There is no need for ANOTHER kind of "conspiracy" - that of some secret band of the knowledgeable traveling from continent to continent over the centuries spreading "special" information.
it's time to back off about this site. We'll find out what's there or not, and even the cleverest hoax - such as Cesnola's reputed collection of "whole" statues looted from Cyprus more than a century ago - ultimately is exposed. Whatever this oddity in the Balkans is, it is not a divine investment of superiority for the locals.

why are you going to call him a hypocrite just because his opinion is different from yours?
I'm not. All the way through this thread he has attacked sceptics because they haven't physically been to this dig and seen the "evidence"; then he admits he hasn't even been there himself. That makes him a hypocrite in my book.
By whom? There are institutions mentioned, but no mention of the "scientists" who actually carried out these measurements. Are they scared to have their names associated with the project?
Look at figures 10 & 11 ; the hill looks about as pyramidal as my PC does!
And why again is the 'report' lifted directly from Osmanagich's OWN website, and not an independent source?
By the way, you might find this interesting: http://archaeoastronomy.co.uk/2006/04/1 ... n-pyramid/
Smailbegovich worked for the University of Reno, Nevada.
Oh look; yet another picture of this pyramid taken from exactly the same angle.
In this link, Smailbegovic refuses to confirm that there is a pyramid there; the words he uses are that "only excavation on the ground will tell".
No, it does. You'll also note that the report is headed "presumed pyramid locality".
I also remember a prehistoric cave somewhere in Bosnia, where pics of the tunnels inside look remarkably like the ones in Viscoco!
after reading and partcipating inthis debate,i finally took a look at the 'mtn.' across the street from the school i teach at. in comparing the photos of the bosnia hill to this hill i noticed many similarities.
(i am being serious here). the shape of slope is similar, the peak is similar and even the surrounding hills look a lot like the so-called bosnian 'pyramids'.
do these advocates mean to tell me that, a few miles south of the DMZ, an ancient civilization built a pyramid in the middle of nowhere? there is no archaeological evidence for a society of any great strength, size or wealth in this area at anytime in the past.
so if we are going to go on looks alone, the 'mtn.' across from my school must be some sort of pyramid built 12,000 years ago by some unheard of ancient society or aliens?
please don't tell Os or his gang because there are enough morons (I say that nicely, in a christian way) here and we don't need any more.
i will try and scan the picture i took and post it here for comparison.

Why not take a shovel and find out? Watch out for landmines and snipers.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.
