I never did it, even at seven!
I could post your comments if I was to spare the time to seek them, why don't you? After all, that would give you the pleasure of proving me wrong wouldn't it.
You stated that due to slack water, dead water, tidal variations etc etc that estuaries could be waded several hours each day.
Sam took you to task, I even went to the effort of explaining to you that at low tide river flow increases, making such crossing more hazardous.
You then agreed that it was your own theory but that you could not prove it but that it was based on, what you now decry, logic! Snag with that is that you need water levels somewhere around N Africa to fall to unprecedented levels, thus the logic is built on water.
You responded in your usual manner, you lost your temper!

Mud or sand are not great for walking. Why is this such a problem?
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Beats me. I pointed out to RS in my earlier posts that he doesn't recall that at low tide our local river's mud flats are deep, plus marsh land of course.

Some even have themselves branded as well Min, tales all sorts doesn't it?
The mud flats locally are soft and deep so that when the tide receeds the boats settle on an even keel into the mud. The only people I recall locally chancing their arm were two drunks who had to be rescued.

Not just 'some', but thousands every year.
Other folks – also thousands – like to do mountain trekking. Also for fun.
Or they play a funny game they call "football" that involves neither feet, nor balls.
For some obscure reason those activities are supposed to be 'leisure pastimes'.

Looks like you've never walked along a beach: hard packed mud/sand – which you will find at the waterline – is excellent for walking! It is the ideal surface for barefoot walking bar none! Beats breaking your ankles in invisible rabbit holes on a savannah, or hurting your feet on sharp rocks in the mountains anytime.

Yep! Till the beach runs out in a cliff face or an estuary as locally, then what?
The longest beach I know of is around Dunquerke 20 miles, then it ends.

But riding offshore on a water craft beats both. Also lets you carry a lot more stuff.

It also solves the problem of what you do when faced with a 150ft high cliff and the tide coming in!

After the first 20 meters does it really matter?

Those folks wading the Sulu Sea, you mean? Well, the Sulu Sea was reported to be 4,400 meters deep, wasn't it? So how tall would that make those wading folks, you think?

BTW, I'm still hoping someone would show me this 4,400 meter deep divide on this map... Anyone?

For the love of (well, whomever is this week's fav) all I see is textbook landbridges at lowered sea levels.

In fact, this is what the land mass around the Sulu Sea looked like during the Würm. It was Sulu Lake then.

http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/top ... 6/Sulu-Sea
it fills a downfaulted block, in some places almost 18,400 feet (5,600 metres) deep, the edges of which are seen in the bordering islands. ..

Yes, 4,400 hundred meters is incorrect.

Nonetheless,

The Sulu Sea is on the wrong side of the Wallace Line.
