The Western Hemisphere. General term for the Americas following their discovery by Europeans, thus setting them in contradistinction to the Old World of Africa, Europe, and Asia.
Nazi Germany certainly wasn't a 'trusted partner' of my country!
Never said it was, I meant today! One of the reasons for the EU was to curb German military power.
Germany today is a trusted partner. It's 65 years after the war, and the Germans have proven to be very reliable partners in a decent democracy over that time. TBH, I have less reservations about Germany than I have about the UK with its 5 million CCTV cameras.

The Munich Agreement in 1938 conceded the Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia to Nazi Germany in exchange for a halt in Nazi Germany's military annexation of further territories, as they had already done with Austria and Sudetenland. I.o.w. Chamberlain's objective was to prevent war. That's a military treaty in my book.
Not over here....still Sunday for 38 more minutes.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.
