Note that the tusks are not clipped.
So it may be a wild animal.
The bottom of the PIC is trimmed off.
They are free swimming well above any bottom.

They are apparently excellent swimmers kb and one of the nails in RS's walking to Oz as they are far better long distance swimmers than we are.

Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

For swimming to Oz – or anywhere for that matter – you need more than just the ability. You also need the will to go wherever you're swimming to. The swimming Zimbabwean elephants only learnt to swim 30 years ago when their valley was inundated by a dam that created a huge freshwater lake in the north-west. On a few of the hills in that valley – now islands in the lake – grows a fruit the elephants particularly appreciate. They WANT it! So when it's ripening – the elephants know exactly when that is – the elephants swim for miles to the islands to get it. Getting to Oz was quite different. It involved salt water and strong tidal currents (both absent in Zimbabwean lakes). And apparently there wasn't a goal that was enticing enough to lure the elephants to, literally, take the plunge, like there is in Zimbabwe.
