Here is what Richard Thornton himself noticed:

T. does not understand that "looks like" is not proof.
And in my view T.'s understanding of both the Southrn Ceremonial Complex and the Creek is bizarre.
Here is T.'s summary of Dallas Abbott's work
http://www.examiner.com/article/two-com ... -s-history
Some day perhaps he''ll learn about Dr. Courty's work in Coastal Europe.
It is necessary for me to point out hare my own much earlier work:

By the way, Dr. Abbott points her graduate students to my book.

Perhaps the 1014 CE impact event is connected with the "toltec" migrations
(Greater and Lessor Descent) into Yucatan.

Here is Gary Daniels original piece:

I don't see any 1014 CE dates in it, nor any coastal inscriptions.

Too Bad neither of them read "Man and Impact in the Americas"
Or my original essay from 2002:

One of the Atlantic Ocean mega-tsunami's too place around 1100 BCE.
The Tuscarora remembered an impact tsunami that washed away their fourth division.
Based on the European data I myself had recovered, I had thought this occurred in 580 CE.
The new work being done on a possible 1014 CE was published on the Cosmic Tusk in 2011.

Re: Atlantic Ocean impact mega-tsunamis
by the way, the only "wind" strong enough to break stones is an impact blast.
Of course, one of the big problem in meso american glyph studies are the correlation problems.
GMT appears to work.
Given that the Dresden Codex is astronomical, where are the comets?
