Bosnian pyramids, Part II, no photos please!

I disagree. A trained person would have to deaf, dumb, and blind to the evidence not to understand that many of the examples of so-called stonework are actually jointed bedrock. An international team is not needed to see that people are excited about naturally jointed bedrock. The majority of the junior and sophmore students in the beginning Physical Geology "101" laboratory classes, which I once taught as a Teaching Assistant, should be able to determine whether the so-called pyramids exist or not. The undergraduates in a college level class in structural geology or sedimentology could easily determine their origin.stellarchaser wrote:I agree, but I'm still convinced that expert geology team should examine whole site more thoroughly, As barakat and Hadidi suggested.
For example, the below pictures are clearly in naturally jointed bedrock.

Unless you agree with Dr. Michael Cremo that modern man existed during the Miocene, it is impossible to explain how a person could get man-made stonework interlayered with Miocene lake deposits as shown in Pictures 1 and 2 above. Also, the presence of ripple marks, i.e. Pictures 3 and 4 above, which in some pictures shared the same orientation and cross the breaks in the blocks, on the surface of the blocks clearly show that the layer of stone blocks was broken up in situ. There are straight lines in some of the jointed bedrock. As shown below, the closely fitted lack the parallelism of the sides of the blocks and the uniformity of dimensions that would be expected of man-made blocks as seen in Picture 5 above. In Picture 6, a person does not even even see any sort of rectilinear blocks. I can understand where people lacking in their understanding in geology might be confused about the origin of the above stone blocks.
Also, only someone, regardless of whether they have degree in geology or not, has to be a complete functional illiterate in their understanding of geology not recognize the below pictures as being nothing more naturally folded bedrock. The pictures are;
Picture 7. http://www.piramidasunca.ba/news/23060602/P1010057.jpg

I know that “functional illiterate” is a strong and, at worst, impolite, and, at best, undiplomatic. However, I do not how else to describe the remarkable lack of expertise and understanding of geology being exhibited by people, who should know better, in the interpretations being made at this site. Otherwise, intelligent people, are making interpretations that the many an undergraduate student, who finished a beginning Physical Geology "101" laboratory, and certainly students, who have passed both undergraduate courses in sedimentology and structural geology, could recognize as being quite wrong.
Given that there have been people living on this hill and building stuff all through Neolithic, Medieval, Roman, and historic times, there is no question about people have been building on and reshaping this hill all of the time. The problem, as I see it is that these archaeological remains have been conflated in various people’s imaginations with naturally jointed bedrock and other natural features to create a chimera, much like Archaeoraptor, which is being mindlessly promoted as real despite innumerable “red flags” that all is not what it is claimed to be.I also agree with this, but I'm leaving open an option that civilization which possibly could reshape the Visochica Hill

I disagree with stellarchaser quote too. What they need is only Paul H. with his "101" lectures in Physical Geology to explain everything.
Dear Paul, the fact is that you are very knowledgeable in Geology but also is the fact that you are very ignorable person who just from the pictures explain everything and disregard the judgment of your colleagues that works on the field (also experienced Barakat, Nukic).
Your sentence " A trained person would have to deaf, dumb, and blind to the evidence not to understand that many of the examples....." could be applied to you also.

I think you are not right there. The excavations are on the beginning, and according to plans, they will last at least five years. Some sort of expertise (expert team, advisers, whatever) will be needed there to give credible estimation what is natural and what man-made in the future.

It can be that you are 100% right on these examples, although it would be much better if we would get more expert's opinions (at the moment we have just two - yours and Barakat's). In other words, now we have here two oposing views of two geologists. Another expert opinion could shed more light on the matter. (to confirm or deny yours or Barakat's view).
Given that there have been people living on this hill and building stuff all through Neolithic, Medieval, Roman, and historic times, there is no question about people have been building on and reshaping this hill all of the time.
That is the problem here. Barakat said almost the same.

I really respect your knowledge on geology, which is really impressive. But I have the feeling that you insist that various people deliberately are trying to construct the Chimera, as you say. That musn't be the case. Some of them don't have knowledge of geology - they can be easily mislead by their eyes.
And don't forget that same people got one view - from Barakat - that some of the formations are man-made or reshaped. (Unless you or some of your colleagues didn't warned them by mail). That is why I am insisting that some sort of expertise in geology must be there on the ground. Simply to give first hand opinion about stone formations they find. That expertise would help them in great deal, in many ways.
And it would stop confusing all others around the world, who like me, are watching what is going on in Visoko.

I have no doubts that Paul H. is first class geologist. All I'm trying to say is that geology expert team on the ground would help greatly to people who excavate Visochica, but also to people from around the world who are interesting in what's going on there.
It is obvious that these people (i.e. WE) are getting scarce and confusing news from the site. Not to mention photographic "masterpieces" from Camera Psycho. And it is very hard to form an opinion about anything based on such information.

Scientist´s Conclusion "Yes there is something great"
On 23 June, just one day before the scientific conference in Sarajevo the Austrian team accompanied the two geologists Dr.Amer Smailbegovich and Dr.Aly Barakat on their field trip around and up and down Visocica Hill.
We were protected by a snake finder and lead by Mr.Zombie with the machete as the terrain is steep, jungle like and dangerous. We turned every stone to investigate its compound, orientation and source of layer.
This is what Dr.Barakat told me as his personal conclusion after 40 days of study:
1.Visocica and Pljescevica Hill clearly show signs of being shaped by man.
2.Nature cannot form Breccia and sandstone into equally sized square blocks, neatly put together to fit four perfectly oriented sides of a pyramid shaped hill.
3.Man obviously shaped the stone blocks, polished them, cut in form and covered the sides of the hills.
4.Purpose, age and culture is unknown.
5.The hills were there and man shaped the natural breccia and sandstone layers

Ha!
fosilized proof that man was on the Visochica millions years ago!...or it was perhaps just a few thousands years ago, after the Ice age... or he was running before biblical flood, like rest of the living world
Whatever it was, something covered his tracks (and shoes) quickly, and turned it into stone.
great! now let's hear the experts. This picture is not from the Moon, but from our great hill in the middle of Bosnia. maybe Neil Armstrong landed there!

One thing I know: this shoe was definitely man made

And now being serious, maybe we should consider the possibility that some terrifying catastrophy interrupted human history, not that long ago.
Maybe Velikovsky was right?
and are fossils millions years old?
here we have fosilized human shoe:
http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5108 ... _May21.jpg
and fosilized leaf:
http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5108 ... _May23.jpg
please notice that the leaf is green, which means that it's not autumn leaf fallen of to a ground.
both fossils have been found on Visochica Hill recently. What they can mean?

We were protected by a snake finder
What's a 'snake finder?'
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

I suppose a snake finder is a guy who looks for dangerous snakes for you so you don't get bitten etc.
Anyway, do they really need that? and a guy wielding a machete and opening a path through the bosnian jungle? Do they also have porters who run away at the sight of some ancient statue of an evil bosnian god?

I suppose all those things go with Osmanagic's indy hat.[/quote]
Well, you must admit it sounds cool
Seriously now, summertime is snake time in Bosnia. So one should always be careful in the wild. And yes, sometimes you need machete to get somewhere (for example to get to your bed, if vifey sees you coming back drunk from town).
Just for your information, on the border between Bosnia and Montenegro there is last jungle in Europe, called Peruchica. Now is protected natural habitat.

there is a lot of them on Visocica Hill. There is legend that they are protecting the hill.
