but the question remains, what is the true age of the earth? no one really knows now do we? of course not because that isn't what is important.
Well we do know that there are rocks on Earth that are around 4,000,000,000 years old.

Indeed.

If I could have gotten a degree in magic and then gotten a good job with it, I'd have done the same thing. Science is hard. :)

As usual, you miss the point arch. Christians do not slaughter heretics nowadays not because they do't want to but because they lack the power. You can bet your ass that the Robertsons and Falwells of the world would love to have the power that the mullahs have.

I see the same intolerance in you that led to the Inquisition.

Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

I'm getting the impression that Arch believes that everything good, right and pure in the world comes from (or through) Christianity and everything bad comes from the non-believers and Catholics.

That was pretty much Luther's original hypothesis, wasn't it?

Yep. And he found 95 different ways to say the same damn thing. Talk about fluff...

Ummmm. Arch must be a descendant, they think alike. But not matter what Arch says, it always comes out the same in the end.

i am ure they do but you have never heard me say i agreed with them.

amazing, i see the same intolerance in all of you. you attack me because i present a different point of view, donot think the same as you and am insulted by people like tj and others becauseof your own intolerance.

not once have you heard me say that you have to give up the way you are thinking, i said you have a choice. but all of you are trying to force me to think like you.

so the only people i see as intolerant are all of you. so the rest of your intolerant posts are ignored as i would end up saying the same thing to each of you. tj is a prime example of intolerance, because unless i discuss the way he wants me to discuss, he won't participate---what a joke saying i am intolerant, apply your words to yourselves first.

But if we don't believe as you do, then your invisible sky buddy will punish us. You really are quite amazing.

I don't think we're trying to force you to think like us, we're trying to get you to think at all.

Arch, atheists have never burned believers at the stake. We may think you are poor, benighted fools but atheists are tolerant of everything except stupidity. When you ascribe things to magic you have to expect to be called on it.

maybe maybe not--but i do know they destroy lives. i remember anarticle about a man who published some comments about intelligent design and you should have read what the smithsonian institute did to him.

don't paint non-religius as lily white for they are worse than those inqusitionists.

sorry but i don't ascribe anything to magic but if we wait for science to come around we will all be dead and gone then it would be too late to make a choice or believe. i will stick with faith and the Bible.
But if we don't believe as you do, then your invisible sky buddy will punish us. You really are quite amazing.
those aren't my rules but you do get to choose and live that choice, that is tolerant. you justhave to accept the fact that punishment comes with wrong choices. even in the world you see the exact same thing taking place. an employee decides to take an unscheduled dayoff, they get fired or punished. or they steal something--they go to jail or get fired.

your choice but there is always punishment and reward, you can't escape that reality.
we're trying to get you to think at all.
i do you think, you just don't accept it. you have made your choice and think along those lines, i do the same except you attack me for it.

I certainly hope they denounced him for being a flaming fucking moron but that is still a long way from burning someone at the stake so that your 'god' is happy.

actually they did a lot worse than that. evolutionists tend to be a lot worse than religious people. (i use the general term evolutionists, so as NOT to insult anyone here or refer to anyone here specifically but to keep it general as not everyone believes exactly or does exactly the same things)

you keep holding over the heads of believers something that took place 200 or more years ago and done by the catholic church, not the protestant one.

grow up, let it go and deal with reality.
