Didn't Julius Ceaser have some motto like that attributed to him? It was something like don't let the bastards keep you down. It was Noli illegitimi ....something. Maybe the same thing. I don't think illegitimi is even latin. I also read that he didn't really use that as his motto, because there is no record of it having been used by him or anyone else in ancient Rome. But, it's a good one anyway. I have used it before too....back when I could remember what it was.

I always liked...
Once a king, always a king, but once a Knight is enough!

The only one I know of that Caesar said was, "I came, I saw, I conquered."

Vini, vidi vici and once a night isn't always enough.

I think it should be vidi vici vini. Use your imagination..............

That's interesting Frank. Never heard of side scan being used to find drown victims. But with the right, experience person watching the side scan, it can be easy to pick out such objects as tires, oil drums, and surely a human body
with side scanso effective, why are we hearing complaints against it?

Now THERE...you have a good question.

Now boys
Frank you are also right. There are a number of ways to say the same thing in Latin as well as every other language. Gen. Joe Stillwell(fromWWII) had the motto 'illigitimi non carborundum' which is pseudo-latin for don't let the b--d grind you down. My mother was the Latin scholar though and the sign on the fridge read:
Latin is a dead language, it's plain enough to see.
It killed off all the Romans and now it's killing me.
