Getting back to the Acambaro figures, surely it nothing like an Iguanodon. But an awful lot like Godzilla .......

i have hapgood's book 'mystery in acambaro' which was quite an interesting read. here is an excerpt from page76:

"He now suspected he had discovered an unknown indian culture.

There was nothing unreasonable about this speculation. When i got to Mexico many years later, I learned that Mexico is simply covered with unexplored sites. I was told by professional archaeologists that for every site so far excavated at least ten more have never been touched by a spade."

i think the discoveries in mexico, put a big crimp in evolutionist's thinking for where would these people get the idea of making such statues, if they had not seen such an animal in person?

if you are expecting an instant response, don't hold your breath. they don't know you and they may be determining that you are a crank and will be ignored. or they may investigate your claims and compare it to their data.

regardless, since you are an unknown, i doubt if they will take you seriously and i would have no influence with them as they do not know me either.

Arch ,being serious and honnest bible scholars should at least involvechecking the facts .Thearticle I mentionned is littered with mistakes,if I apply your definition of pseudoscience to it ....indeed it fits perfectly.

Who does that remind you of?

Those figurines look like fakes to me, not the work of artists, but of a child or perhaps a the peasant wh supposedly dug them up. It's not hard to fake this kind of stuff.

Volume 41, No. 4, 1976, pages 497-500 has an article by Gary W. Carriveau and Mark C. Han on the TL dating of the Acambaro figurines

The summary: "Thermoluminescence dates for the Julsrud collection, excavated near Acambaro, Guanajuanta, Mexico, are shown to be invalid. Evidence is offered showing that these figurines are fired shortly before they were found." Probably around 1935 or 1936.

No surprise there.

What is the concensus on the final count of these toyosaurs?
THousands? Hundreds?

The quality of the workmanship of these is mostly inferior to other
precolumbian ceramics.
Plus most real precolumbian ceramics are hollow, whereas these are
obviously made of rolled coils, like you teach a kid to play with clay:
"First, make a snake."
Plus, there is no style, just blobs and coils stick together.
