Genesis Veracity wrote:It's common sense, if there was a period of time with 10 or 12 very wet spells per year in ancient times, rather than, say, 5 or 6 today, then the dendochronological dating results will be exaggerated, and the climate was different during the Ice Age, don't you think so?
No. You have no idea what you are talking about.

i was going to stay out of this thread but theni saw the following and need to ask a question:

All the founder Gods of ancient myth we ... 500bce[/b]

{bold print mine for highlight}

is this the author's error or marduk's due to bad transcribing? that leaves very little time for anything since the exodus was just around the corner with that date.

Archaeologist, that was Marduk's error, the Ice Age ended circa 1500 B.C., when megaliths went under, the Middle East began to dry out, and the Exodus occurred. Noah's Flood was about 900 years before that.

so the flood happened before the ice age
hmmm
so why don't the hebrews say anything about ice in the bible which is, according to what you are saying an account of what actually happened
surely they noticed it covering the earth
surely they were aware of the ice age total cloud cover ?

Marduk, who (besides you) ever said the Ice Age icepack covered the earth? And the cloudier conditions of the Ice Age was normal to the ancients of that time, that's all they knew, except the cataclysm which preceeded it, the cataclysm noted by over 500 tribal groups worldwide, and the book of Job mentions Ice Age conditions for the Middle East at around 2000 B.C., and Sargon is said to have hacked through the "jungles" of eastern Turkey, so it's all there for the seeker.

Notice the mass migrations of people groups circa 1500 B.C., with the end of the Ice Age conditions, as the Middle East began to turn to dust.

And to the "energy" and "water" crowd, now you're getting it.

can't tell, he keeps mixing his dates.
the book of Job mentions Ice Age conditions for the Middle East at around 2000 B.C.
please give chapter and verse on that one. but then you are saying the ice age lasted for 500 years right after the flood which you state would be abut 2400b.c.
Sargon is said to have hacked through the "jungles" of eastern Turkey, so it's all there for the seeker.
when would this be exactly??

Hey archaeologist, want to know why the Great Pyramid's base perimeter length just happens to be half a nautical mile, and why the length of the Egyptian royal cubit is what it is, and how the ancients measured and mapped the earth during the Ice Age? Read (for comprehension) article #2 at www.IceAgeCivilizations.com, and then let's see if you see any flaws in the analysis.

You have yet to grasp the GFM, but let's see how you do with this, do you see any flaws in that analysis?

How could he have rebutted it when he doesn't even understand it?
