Hi Leonna - I hear that we might see you in the "other place" soon.

Your source on the web for daily archaeology news!
https://archaeologica.org/forum/
you have just replaced Jesus and God and their words with dever and finkelstein
you don't have scientific minds, what you have are minds that attribute sin to God. i use science to find the evidence for the Biblical record which i have done so and posted, what most of you have done is try to find a loophole when no loophole exists.Maybe those of us with scientific minds like the idea that we have to think about things, we like the digging for the truth behind both facts and fiction
what you have are minds that attribute sin to God.
typical response. i wouldhave expected no less and no moreWell your OT god does seem to be a bit of a prick.
of course, why would non-believers try and prove something true they don't believe in? especially since the bible operates outside of their restrictions? or they limit the evidence to what arbitrary restrictions they desire? this isn't a level or honest playing field we are talking about.First off, only religious establishment has "proven" the Bible true
well obviously you are not reading what i write.Instead, what we get are nothing but magical writings relying on each other for support. Seems to be a bit of a closed shop.
“When we carefully examine ……. the Great Revolt and Masada, a portrait of heroism …… is simply not provided. On the contrary. The narrative conveys the story of a doomed (and questionable) revolt, of a majestic failure and destruction of the Second Temple and of Jerusalem, of large-scale massacres of the Jews, of different factions of Jews fighting and killing each other, of collective suicide (an act not viewed favourably by the Jewish faith) by a group of terrorists and assassins whose “fighting spirit” may have been questionable.” 2
no that is just another person stating another opinion:See, arch...THIS is archaeology.
key is the word 'suggests'However at least one Israeli academic, Nachman Ben-Yehuda, 1 suggests that the truth may be somewhat less romantic and heroic.
so in other words your viewof archaeology is that it is just more words that cloud the issue instead of finding the truth. very unscientific. From this point, however, the “facts” are open to interpretation
they are not trying to figure anything out except to push their own thinking to justify their time in research. if they don't come up with something new then they have wasted the time and money. At least these guys are trying to figure things out.
this isn't reasoned, it is questioning the contemporary writers who recorded the events when they cannot defend themselves. besides masada isn't even in the Bible and is not part of the Christian history. it is part of jewish historyI'll still take a reasoned approach to the blind folly of believing anything that is written in your silly-ass bible.
