And if Cortez (or equivalent) had landed in Mexico 20 years earlier (during the reign of Ahuizotl, truly a world class kicker of arses) I would now be living in Londontitlan, Greater Mexico, which I cannot entirely dismiss the appeal of. I'll add the above to my 'to do' list for when I get that time-machine up and running.

Yes, and Ahuizotl might have sent those boats back to whence they came with tax collectors on them to demand tribute for defiling his empire!
