Archaeologists in Cyprus have discovered what they believe could be the oldest evidence yet that organized groups of ancient mariners were plying the east Mediterranean, possibly as far back as 14,000 years ago.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Good article Min. If they keep looking they'll find plenty more, and older I imagine. I'm surprised they haven't found an underwater port off Malta. 8)

If you ask me, Rokcet's avatar is a highlight of the board.

I'm into cultural anthropology, a.o., and my avatar displays a prime research subject.

That's your call, Charlie: if I took offense of your avatar where someone (you?) proudly displays a murdered animal I would do exactly the same thing.

No, I'm not. I love my meat and fish.
I said "IF I took offense", but I don't (or I would be gone here, wouldn't I?).

It's exactly like the Danish 'anti-muslim' cartoons: some people decide they feel offended. Others don't. There's nothing I can do about someone else feeling offended. That's their choice. And there's nothing I want to do about that either: free choice. For them and for me.

I am not the least offended, If I were at home I would enjoy that, but must admit I visit the board from work and people who walked by would get the wrong idea...

It's just not all THAT different from the avatar that Rokcet used for 6 months, prior....(the gymnast thingy.)

I would suggest that if anyone gets pissed off about something send a PM to Michelle or me...or Frank, if he's around. In fact, Michelle's very busy so I'd prefer that you bother me. I'm retired, I have nothing better to do.

Well, that puts the problem squarely at your end then, doesn't it? Not at mine!

Wrong or right (who are you or I to say?) it is their idea!

Besides, what do you think would attract you more inconvenient attention from your co-workers: them seeing you viewing the occasional babe, or them seeing you viewing pages upon pages upon pages of 'funny rocks'...?

I submit my avatar is safer for your image as a 'regular guy'!
