Indeed, that's a nice read. It reminds us that, in evolutionary terms, we're all still pretty much a bunch of monkeys.

See, that is what is wrong with evolution.
It is un-natural.
There are no Alpha-Females in the chimp world.

Wrong, kb: you forget the Bonobo chimps! Females rule there!
Is that "un-natural" too?

When Alpha male dominated chimps have a quarrel, they fight.
When female dominated Bonobos have a quarrel, they fuck.

I know what system I prefer!

And bonobos don't limit their promiscuity to conflict. When one group of bonobos meets another and tensions get high they have an orgy!

Thankfully it isn't

It takes all kinds.....

We have alot to learn about the bonobos as they were only 'discovered' in the 20th century. The clade comprised of bonobos, common chimpanzees and humans is much more similar than dissimilar. The fact that bonobos are more gracile (and in some ways more human-like) than common chimps also leads towards the discussion of whether or not HNS and other archaic HS are really all the same species.
