No more new discoveries on the Giza plateau?

The Old World is a reference to those parts of Earth known to Europeans before the voyages of Christopher Columbus; it includes Europe, Asia and Africa.

Now I think Zahi is just making shit up. He's such a camera hound. Glory grabber. Showboat!

"These tombs were built beside the king's pyramid, which indicates that these people were not by any means slaves," said Hawass in the statement. "If they were slaves, they would not have been able to build their tombs beside their king's."

How the hell does he know that?

Zahi is the reincarnation of a long line of Grand Vizirs. That's how.
Didn't you know?

Someone posted this on another board I'm on and I went back and found a 1997 article that Zahi himself had written on this very subject.

Perhaps he was feeling a bit "headline deprived" this week?
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

He's living in a world of fantasy. He speaks in soundbites. He sensationalises everything. I use to be a fan, but no longer. He's just a stuffed shirt/talking head appointed to manufacture good press and lure tourists. He denigrates any scientist who doesn't agree with him. I'm sorry, but I hate the SOB now.
Also what's new about this discovery? They found the burials back in the early 90s. So this one or two are a little different. Ever been to a modern cemetey? How many different styles of grave do you see there? Personal preference I say. Stop making shit up Zahi!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He already said that there were no new discoveries to be made on the Giza plateau. I heard him myself! WTF?

Headline deprived indeed!

He could be correct, but I wouldn't bet too much on it. As regards the salves bit, that too could be correct, but history tells of favourite slaves and emancipated slaves rising to positions of power.
Time will tell.
