They struck several thousand years apart, the length of time between the two "fern spikes".
More than enough time for the dinos to have been wiped out by the first one. The second one may have merely bounced the rubble,
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.
