Surfing In California 11, 000 Years Ago

The Western Hemisphere. General term for the Americas following their discovery by Europeans, thus setting them in contradistinction to the Old World of Africa, Europe, and Asia.

Surfing In California 11, 000 Years Ago

Post by Barracuda »

For those who do not know, launching boats from the beach in California is going to involve surfing back in.

"Rising seas also may have submerged evidence of even older human habitation of the islands."

Which is why we may never find edvidence of what really happend, or when.

Simply amazing to think that a so-called "primitive" man could make a tool like that with those tiny teeth for want of a better word. Incredible workmanship!
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

I think I can do that for you, if you'd like.

Hi Min,
"Tiny Teeth" is exactly the name used to describe the mini-notches. The term: denticulated.
By the time you are almost finished with a point or crescent, there are flake scars along the edge.
Flake scars leave behind small hollows where the bulb of percussion came off.
Find a thin flake or splinter of bone, and you can notch out those hollows and make the denticulated pattern.
(Maybe there should be a plankboat surfing exhibition at Rincon.)
