An Open Letter to Guests, Visitors and Lurkers!

Post by Minimalist »

Come on, people. Get INVOLVED!

The number of threads on this board which have wide disparities between the number of "replies" and the number of "views" are staggering.

500 replies.....15,000 views.

600 replies.....17,000 views.

3 replies..........40 views.

Surely you people have some opinions? Some ideas? When you go to the beach do you stand there looking at the water or do you dive in?

Let's get with it and hear from some of you.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

I agree. Everybody jump in.
Hey, Bob, maybe all those lurkers are FBI agents monitoring our exchanges!

It's tough to increase 'postership' with such a specialised subject.

Many of the lurkers are no doubt like myself-interested but without the academic background to discuss in detail all the various facets of such a fascinating subject.

I fit that category too Sam but everyone has been quite patient and friendly. Don't hesitate to toss your thoughts in. Even us blind squirrels stumble across a nut once in a while. :)

I am certainly no more than a dilletante. The board is no "professional" site.

Sometimes, we just like to argue about non-existing things. Helps to keep the mind sharp.

Whatever it takes, John. If 2 cents is what you got, throw it in.
