Can't We Just Vote Him Off The Island?

Post by Barracuda »

I am not remotely interested in engaging in debate about creationism.

I would rather hangout on Surfline and have intelligent cyber conversations with adolescent surfers from Southern California on the merits of long boards versus short ones, like the following:

Long boards suck!

You suck, dude!

A lot of the conversation here seems to have fallen to that level.

Mostly, I just exercise my inalienable right not to give a damn, but I think this has become a detriment to the board.

Who agrees?

I am not really suggesting he be banned, but maybe it would help if some of the non combatants let him know we would rather he not inject that tired argument into nearly every thread posted here, he would have some respect for that.

BTW: My son lives in Ashland. He is going into his second year at Southern Oregon University. I have visited him there often.

Some history might be in order here. The religious discussions (if you call them that) were restricted to two threads. For a long time, Arch and mainly Min. have kept it there for the most part.

The rest of the board was civil and most of the dicussion was about Archaeology. Lately a number of other posters have arrived and have been attracted to it. The quarrel has splayed out all over the forum.

What needs to happen is that those two threads need to be adhered to, and uncivil remarks need to be stopped outside these threads.

Nobody then has to read it. As I don't. That aside let's get back to archaeology.

I most vigorously protest.

Violence solves nothing.

Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

C'mon. Things around here have been a damn mess lately. But we can't scapegoat Arch. He has not been solely responsible for it . We all need to get our act together.

you missed the point
it wasn't about the war
it was about you telling the people of Hiroshima that violence solves nothing
you could try telling 6.000.000 jews as well if you like
what kind of answer would they give you ?

Terrorism is about the living...not the dead.

It doesn't matter who drops the bombs or how.

War is the ultimate expression of the saying: "The solution to a problem changes the problem."
