I've read some extremely funny, and intellectual statements on this forum. So, for all you free thinkers out there, I dedicate this thread to you. Please, all feel free to contribute.

Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

I can't believe I ain't got a quote here. Surely I said something funny at some point as much as I rant. It's really weird how you can't come up with nothing when you try. I'm only funny when I'm not trying.

Wait a minute. I said that. Me! Me! Me! (C) ME 2006 in the Potentially Stupid Question about Preclovis thread. IT WAS ME!

Me, I tell you!

er... anyway. Apologies to the (I hope temporarily) absent Marduk, but Cognito came out with this on above mentioned thread, which made me chuckle somewhat:
If sushi=bait and you could catch something bigger with bigger bait, then what could we catch by trolling Marduk on our canoe's aft? I'm thinking sperm whale here and lots of food for the winter.

You know Charlie....operates under the principle "close enough for government work."

Min, you need to track down that Neanderthal comic, where the guy is trying to find the stone wrench, hammer, etc...That definitely qualifies as a classic. :D

My father was a Colonel in the US Special Forces who saw combat in WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, and some places you never heard of. The following is some of his wisdom I have never forgotten:

Never bet anything you can’t afford to lose, unless you can’t afford not to.

A woman who calls you “Baby” probably can’t remember your name.

If she cheated on you more than once, she’ll do it again.

As long as they ain’t shooting at you, try not to take it personal.

Whenever the enemy is in range, so are you.

A pistol is just for keep the bastards off your butt until you can get a real gun.

And then there is my old mentor, USN SEAL Commander Charles Wiggin, who said:

"This is SUPPOSED to be dangerous! You want safe, take up golf! Now get the hell off my boat!

Somewhere in the house I think I have a Far Side collection...

I suppose I could hunt it down and see if that one is in there....I mean WTF....it isn't as if there is anything important happening....like a national election that could decide the fate of Freedom in the Galaxy or anything.

Anything for you, Charlie!
