Like me Gunny you must live in the backwoods. The big advantage is the great out doors seems to frighten the urban villains and they stay away, plus the fact that a group of vigilantes put the fear of Hades into some of them recently.
The phrase that puts my back up is, 'you can't go around taking the law into your own hands', my usual reply is, why not?

The law in the Uk makes any edge tool with a blade longer than three inches into an offensive weapon. I have carried a pocket knife since I was a kid, but as mine locks the blade so that it doesn't nick your fingers when you close it, renders me liable to arrest and prosecution. That is unless I am a member of the Sikh religion, and to make that observation may make me liable to prosecution under Blair's laws against discrimination. It takes a special kind of moron to believe that you can change people's minds by the weight of the law, but then Blair is an attorney.
The present government is only following the dogma of their founding fathers, they claim to believe in freedom. Back in the 60s a Labour government proudly claimed to have passed 4000 laws in 18 months, this mob have created 3000 new offences. New offences, I can't even think of 3000 original offences, and as 99.9% of laws are designed to prevent you doing something, I would not call it a record to be proud of.
None of our present administration have ever served in the armed forces because their history is one of pacifism, as a result we have bullets that will not fire, boots that fall apart in the desert heat, armoured vehicles that aren't, and sailors practicing weapon's training required to shout 'BANG' at the appropriate time.
If Blair's mob would study history they would find that their first time in office resulted in the 'Invergordon Mutiny', when the Navy revolted in the 1930s, another mutiny in the RAF in 1946 and now a shortage of recruits and personnel leaving in record numbers. In addition every Labour administration has run out of money.
The Labour party is currently 23 million pounds in debt and listed as uncredit worthy. What a mob?

One wonders what kind of shape they'd be in after all this time.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Most , if not all countries, including the US, retrieve weapons after battles and wars, and refurbish them to as new condition to prepare for future use. The Russians are now cleaning their warehouses out selling refurbished weapons dating back to 1891. There must be many warehouses in South America full of Colt and Winchester rifles the collectors would pay big bucks for. The Russian warehouse with the remains of 300,000 M95 Winchesters would be a gold mine since they dropped out of the WWI early with probably most unissued. Where is Indiana Jones when you need him?
