The traditional view above has recently been challenged by findings of human remains in South America, which are claimed to be too old to fit this scenario—perhaps even 20,000 years old. Some recent finds (notably the Luzia skeleton in Lagoa Santa) are claimed to be morphologically distinct from the Asian genotype and are more similar to African and Australian Aborigines. These American Aborigines would have been later displaced or absorbed by the Siberian immigrants. The distinctive natives of Tierra del Fuego, the southernmost tip of the American continent, may have been the last remains of those Aboriginal populations.

These early immigrants would have either crossed the ocean on boat, or traveled North along the Asian coast and entered America through the Bering Strait area, well before the Siberian waves. This theory is still resisted by many scientists chiefly because of the apparent difficulty of the trip.

why Troy
because I haven't built my belief in what it is on a poem ?
actually Wiki is good in these type of cases
if I had to rely on a cutting edge recent paper from someone who Min would accept was a club member then my point that the claim that everyone got their via berengia is out of date wouldn't be valid

Why Wiki?
Morning Digit. My opinion about Wiki is that it is:

1 Up to date
2 Always has good links
3 Presents the basic uncontroversial info.

BUT
1 If you're debating a controversial point, and the word controversial
is in the context, it is not helpful at all.
2 If you're using Wiki for it's images, you should say so.

It's another example of "when you don't like the message - kill the messenger." There is a lot of that going on.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

I've stated elsewhere on this board, that my daughter is not allowed to use Wiki as a source for school work nor her debate team.

But imo it is an amazing tool. Click on the "discussion" tab and often you find other points of view which are worth looking at also.
