it is no secret that many creationists have little knowledge on what they are talking about
You are living proof of that, arch. No argument here.

You see if he has to come up with an answer other than "it's in the bible" or a quote from some Christian author, he's lost.
Very nicely said Rene. I'd like to voice my support also for all that battle this culture of willful ignorance and mind-boggling credulity.ReneDescartes wrote:Clearly science is under a widespread attack from the cuckoo asylum .My deepest gratitude goes to minimalist, frank and allt hose willing to confront an opponent I certainly wouldn't try to convince as from the first posts made it is clear you can not reason with fundamentalists .
there really is no batttle because those who oppose the Biblical record do so froma position of unbelief which allows them to fudge the rules, tilt the playing field and in other words eliminate the possibility of a fair discussion.Very nicely said Rene. absence of evidence does not mean it did not happen
personal attacks mean nothing they just make you look bad, close-minded, arrogant and biased.Lucky for us the media here are not so commercialised. You can not buy your way in arch, money wont helpyou here
that is your answer to avoid the truth, lock up those with the answers. typical evolutionist, if you can't win, throw away the key. but that is typical evolutionist mentality, we can't prove our theory so we make sure we are the last man standing. This so called archeologist would be safely tucked away in mental institute if not for the right of every person to adopt a religion or conviction of his choice
I wouldn't say that there isn't a battle, but I would say the battle is a lot like beating up kids in wheel chairs. As for dishonest play, I've yet to meet a believer that wouldn't resort to any tactic at all when they find that they've painted themselves into a corner. The position of the believer is simply untenable without resorting to 'the bible says' or 'I believe'. It's logically indefensible due its faith-based nature. It is, in my opinion at least, clearly designed that way. You seem to misunderstand this.archaeologist wrote:there really is no batttle because those who oppose the Biblical record do so froma position of unbelief which allows them to fudge the rules, tilt the playing field and in other words eliminate the possibility of a fair discussion.Very nicely said Rene. Quantify 'most' and define 'common sense'. The problem with common sense is that your version of it and my version of it are likely different. You do realize this right? You might also want to demonstrate that 'God' actually said the stuff that you attribute to him before you have a hissy fit about people trying to disprove it. You haven't established that he said it in the first place.archaeologist wrote:absence of evidence does not mean it did not happen though most people against the Bible take that position or they ignore common sense as they rush to disprove what God has said.
I'm not really sure what to say to this kind of insane rambling. Get some help before God tells you to chop the limbs off of your children.archaeologist wrote:faith doesn't require such a discovery and there is plenty of evidence to support the biblical record, though unregenerated minds locked inthe hands of the evil one, will never attribute such discoveries to where they belong.
so because you reject the evidence all you have left yourself is---- faith. your cries against faith are actually cries against yourselves because you have limited all options for yourselves by rejecting, dismissing or ignoring the evidence God has left for people to strengthen their belief.
Will you restate this in such a way that it actually makes sense?archaeologist wrote:the Biblical record employs science and thus does belong here on this board, itjust won't dowhat the non-religious wants, which in science it is allowed to do.
